Aug. 15th, 2004 10:56 pmThe hotel I stayed at in Venice. Though Venice seemed sickly--all glass and masks--, the Lido was nice. The trees seemed to cleanse the air. The "X-Files" theme streamed out from boat windows at night. The towels were, I recall, especially fluffy. And there was a window in the bathroom.
